Routine & preventive care
Examinations, hygiene and tailored prevention to keep things healthy and avoid bigger work later.
I'm Dr Alexandra Lengyel. I look after adults and families who want unhurried appointments, honest advice, and treatment planned around their goals — not a script. Every visit starts with listening.
I graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at Semmelweis University in Budapest in 2015 and have practised in the United Kingdom since, registered with the General Dental Council (GDC 262625). I see private patients at Denta Clinic in Ilford, where I look after adults, children and families for everything from routine check-ups to restorative work.
A good deal of my time goes to people who have put off seeing a dentist — sometimes for years — and who arrive expecting to be judged for it. They are not. We book the time properly, I explain what I find in plain language before anything is done, and we stop whenever you need to. If you would rather simply talk through your options at a first appointment and decide later, that is a perfectly good visit.
A simple, predictable path — so you always know what's happening and why.
We start with your history, concerns and goals. No assumptions, no pressure — just a clear picture of where you are.
I talk through what I find in plain language, with the realistic choices, trade-offs and costs set out before anything begins.
We agree a plan together and move at a pace that suits you, reviewing as we go and adjusting when life changes.
A general scope, with particular care taken in the areas below. Implants and orthodontics are handled by the specialists at Denta Clinic, and I will refer you to them where that is the right course.
Examinations, hygiene and tailored prevention to keep things healthy and avoid bigger work later.
Carefully matched fillings, crowns and repairs that restore function and look natural.
Extra time, gentle pacing and clear signposting for anyone who finds the dentist daunting.
A calm, friendly setting for children and parents alike, building good habits early.
Sensible recall intervals and follow-up so small issues are caught while they're still small.
Call or email the practice and we will arrange a time. For urgent dental pain, please call — it is the fastest way to be seen.
In a dental emergency outside opening hours, contact NHS 111 or your local urgent dental service.
There is no online form on this site, and nothing about you is collected or stored here. Call the practice or send an email, and we will find a time that suits you.
If you are in pain, please call rather than email — it is the fastest way to be seen.
Yes — I am accepting new private patients. Appointments are at Denta Clinic in Ilford, Monday to Friday 9am–6pm and Saturday 9am–5pm. Call 020 8553 5283 or email dr@lengyel.uk and we will find a time that suits you.
Private care only — I do not offer NHS treatment. A consultation and examination at Denta Clinic is £75, and the practice publishes a full guide to its fees: dentaclinic.uk/dental-service-fees. Those figures are a guide to the most common treatments; after your consultation you receive a written quote for your own plan, with the alternatives and their costs. Nothing is started until you have seen the figures and agreed to them.
A full conversation about your history and goals, a careful examination, and a written plan with options and costs. Nothing is started until you're comfortable to proceed.
Yes. Many people feel this way. We book extra time, explain everything before it happens, and stop whenever you need to. You're always in control.
I welcome feedback, and I would rather hear a concern early than not at all. Please raise it with me directly — by phone on 020 8553 5283 or by email to dr@lengyel.uk. I will acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and give you a full written response within 10 working days. If the matter needs longer to look into, I will tell you why and when to expect an answer.
If you are not satisfied with my response, you can take it further. As this is a private practice, the independent service for unresolved complaints is the Dental Complaints Service (020 8253 0800). Concerns about a dental professional's fitness to practise can be raised with the General Dental Council.

There is no enquiry form, no booking system, no account, no analytics and no advertising on this site. We do not set cookies, we do not track you, and we do not store anything about your visit. The site is a set of static pages: you read them, and nothing about you is recorded.
If you choose to call or email, we will of course have whatever you tell us — your name, your number or email address, and the reason you got in touch. We use it only to answer you and to arrange your care, we do not share it with anyone else for any other purpose, and we never use it for marketing.
Please do not send detailed medical information by email. Email is not a secure channel, and it is not the right place for it. Bring it to your appointment, or tell us on the phone.
Once you become a patient, your clinical records are held by Denta Clinic under its own privacy policy, and the practice is responsible for them. This website plays no part in that.
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Write to dr@lengyel.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk · helpline 0303 123 1113.
